Walking from the hotel to the Venetian harbour (one kilometre away) takes about 20 minutes along a scenic coastal promenade. The eastern suburb of Halepas has long been home to the city’s most elite residents, including the former Greek prime minister, Eleftherios Venizelos. Our street is named after the statesman. His home, now a museum, is just a short walk away. Venizelos loved to stroll along the beach in front of the hotel at dusk. The area has many fine neoclassical mansions that have survived since the 19th century.
Doma is about 15 minutes by car from both the port of Souda and Chania airport. Taxi transfers can be arranged on request.
